Still Working Hard

Hey Everyone,

It is August. I got over my self esteem fail. Everyone gets double chin photos right? I have not been working out as much as I hoped for the past month but I do have my reasons. I ended up destroying my toe nails from running so much, and I ended up getting toe surgery on both big toes! After I was fully healed I started running and was able to run the farthest I've ever run! I love running, I just listen to my music and power on! The key to a good run is a good playlist. I am feeling motivated. I may post a running playlist in the future. ANYWAYS. After getting great runs in for about a week my leg died. I am not sure what is happening with it. I think I just pulled a couple of muscles in it or pinched a nerve. I asked some friends to describe shin splints and it doesn't sound like i have them, which is great, I hear those are horrible.

I am just itching to go running again but it hurts to walk still! I am slightly nervous, its been 4 or 5 days and my leg still hurts! Ill get it checked out if its more than a week.

Because my leg is not doing so well and I have been unable to exercise I thought it would be a great time to do the Lemonade Diet. I don't think I would ever do the Lemonade Diet while exercising because it just wouldn't be healthy. I would not be getting enough protein in me to work out.

For those wondering the Lemonade Diet or cleanse is a very famous cleanse in which you drink a combo of lemons, water, cayenne pepper, and maple syrup for ten days. This is the only thing you have, except a salt water flush in the morning and a laxative tea at night. People swear by this thing. I will be blogging about this all week hopefully!

I am nervous just thinking about it! I hope I make it through alive! If I start to not feel well I will stop immediately. Master cleanses can be iffy and I am keeping that in mind.

I hope you all are having a great summer.

Much Love,

Cheetah Boots

Self Esteem

Hello Everyone,

It is almost 1:30 am, I must be up at 6 am but I cant sleep. I have never had a problem with self esteem, even when I was at my heaviest weight. It may have been because I didnt realize I was over weight, but who knows. Even before I gained weight, i was never a size two, always about a size 6, I was fine with that. Now that I am excersising and trying to eat healthy I have the worst self esteem ever. I dont buy clothes, I dont want my picture to be taken, I dont want people to see me. It is horrible!

The worst part for me is I am a very put together person and it has become obvious that I am having trouble with my weight which makes me feel that people now realize that I am not "all together all the time". Does this make sense? It is almost 2 am. Whatever.

I ate horribly this weekend. horribly! Plus, I didnt go to the gym. On friday I just didnt get their out of laziness but Saturday they were closed because of 4th of July so I came up with some lame excuse why I couldnt go out for a run, Sunday I planned to go, I even wore my gym clothes all day but I had no time! Instead I ate half a banana split sundae, and if we are being honest here, it was more than half.

It is not as if I am very overweight, I just put on the freshman 15 and it is showing in my stomach and my face.

My friend took the worst picture of me ever tonight, I cant stop staring at it. Although I will continue with my whole being anonymous thing you must see this picture, it is horrible!

ughhh, this picture is horrible, it makes me want to throw up, (but not really). I feel like all of my efforts this summer have been a complete waste, and to top that I have been having troubles staying on my diet.

I better go to sleep and in the morning I will worry about my diet and such.

Love you all!

P.S dont you love my FBI Eye and Nose block out, it is super great, huh?

The Ultimate Healthy Smoothie!

Hi Everyone!
I thought that nobody was looking at this so I gave up a few weeks ago. I randomly logged on to my email today to find that a lot of people are viewing my blog. On that note, im back!

I did start going to that new gym I was discussing. Man, working out is hard! I always get so bored when on the machines. More on that in another blog post.

Whenever I am at home I like to have protein smoothies as a meal replacement instead of my usual protein bar. I do believe I have come up with the ultimate Strawberry-Banana smoothie recipe that is healthy and yummy!

First - 1 scoop of vanilla flavored Whey Protein (any brand). This is where the bulk of the calories come from, 100 total. These are very good calories though, protein fills you up, so you wont think about food until lunch time!

Next is Bananas and Strawberries. Make sure to cut them up well so that they blend in the blender well. Oh yeah did I mention you need a blender? you need a blender.
1 Banana will do.

and about 4-6 strawberries, depending on size. Dont over do it on strawberries. Strawberry overload just throws everything off :)

Next up is 5 ice cubes.

Finally, add a splash of V8 Fruit Fusion Light in Strawberry Banana. This is a great new drink, it has lots of veggies and fruit in it and it is only 50 calories per serving. Dont do a whole serving in your smoothie though, just a splash, enough to mix everything together when blending!

Now put your blender on Ice Crush until you cant hear the ice crushing any more. Then press the blend button, and blend for a moment or two!

There you go! A fresh fruit smoothie. Feel free to mix it up. Some days I feel like just banana, or just strawberry. Once in a while I do blueberry or raspberry. There are endless amounts of options!

Hint: if you hit the ground running when you wake-up, just like Cheetah Boots does, I have the perfect hint. I go to Panera sometimes to get an iced green tea as a treat, not too often though because liquid calories are not great! I keep the plastic cups and fill them up with my smoothie so I can bring it with me when I leave my house!

So there we go, I hope you enjoy!

Yoga... Man

Hey There!

I have been doing yoga twice a week for the past month. It is amazing!

There are so many benefits of yoga. The most obvious one is flexibility, but there are a lot of other benefits. Yoga massages your internal organs and flushes new blood into different parts of your body, therefore bringing new vitamins and oxygen to your internal organs. Yoga also lubricates your joints and ligaments which is great for you entire body.

If you have done yoga, you know that you feel it in your muscles. It really can tone your muscles which is always great!

One thing that I have noticed is that I am sleeping better since I have started yoga. SCORE!

The benefits of yoga go on and on, so I would recommend it to anyone. Most gyms have yoga. There are many different types so I recommend trying out as many different types as you can to figure out what you like.

Love Always,

Ms.Boots

Calculate your BMI with Mr.Bobinsky

Hello!

Tonight I would like to explain my mission a little bit more to you.

This year I have gained some weight. I am five feet, four inches tall and I normally weigh between 120-135. My mom finally got me to weigh myself, something I never do, and I found that I way... gulp... 147 pounds. GASP. This is technically over a normal BMI (Body Mass Index). I recommend checking your BMI number to make sure you are at a good weight.

This is a great website to calculate your BMI : NHLBI BMI Calculator

I started dieting (in a healthy manner) a couple of weeks ago but I cant tell you how much weight I loss because  I only weighed myself for the first time on Sunday! I do believe that the diet works though, it gets me eating a much smaller amount of calories a day. I used to do mindless snacking but because of this diet I know how much I can snack a day.

This is what the diet consists of:
Breakfast - Protein Bar under 200 calories.
Midmorning Snack- 90 calorie snack bar
Lunch - Protein bar under 200 calories
Mid afternoon snack - 90 calorie snack bar
Dinner - Whatever I want
After dinner snack - 60 calorie pudding cup.

Its good because by the time dinner comes around I have only had 540 calories, so I can have a good yummy dinner. My dinner normally consist of a salad with carrots, olives, mushrooms, peppers, and a light oil dressing. Steamed vegetables, or a small serving of pasta (less than a cup), and a yummy dessert.

I know that once I start working out more I should be taking in more calories. The number one thing to do when trying to lose weight is to be healthy!

Because I go back to my hometown on weekends (thursday night-sunday night) I decided to sign up for one of our local gyms. I have been a member of a different gym in this area but I decided on a new one for a fresh start. My first day at this gym will be this Thursday!

During the week I take yoga classes on Monday and Wednesday. Once I meet with a personal trainer at my gym back at home I will probably also figure out a cardio plan for up here at my home away from home. Its very cold where I live during the week still so I cant do outdoor cardio yet, maybe in a week or two. I really dont like the gym here though, its gross, and the people there act like its a cult. I am probably just making more excuses.

I wish I could say more in this post, but I dont want to bore you to death. Expect posts in the future on the health benefits of yoga, how to diet safe, and a fabulous picture of my "Before Body" which I am totally not looking forward to posting!

Until then, enjoy this picture of Mr. Bobinsky, from Coraline, who could be my body double!

Love,

Cheetah

Welcome!

Hey Everyone!

Thanks for looking at my blog. I thought I would introduce myself. You can call me Cheetah, or Cheetah Boots if you like. I am not new to the whole blogging thing. I have been running a pretty successful music blog for a few years now. It is still doing really well, but I felt I needed a new blog to share my journey of getting in shape. I would like to remain anonymous on this blog, because I do not want to compromise my other blog, and my identity is known on my other blog, which once again I would like to remain in the dark about who I am.

I will tell you this-

I am a young adult, under the age of 25 but over the age of 18. I recently moved, I now have all new friends, and they have much different eating habits then back at home. I also have been very busy and have not had time to go to the gym (total excuse!). For these reasons and more I have gained weight. I was never a stick, I have always had big boobs and a round-ish belly.

I plan on  posting a picture of me later so you can see where my starting part is, but if you need an idea of what my body type is I could be described as a carrot with the point facing down, or an inverted triangle. Big boobs, round belly, tiny hips, super skinny legs. I will admit I have some of the best legs you have ever seen!  Even though I have gained weight they dont get bigger.... or much bigger.

Moving on, if you havent figured it out by now, I am a girl. I hope the boobs were a giveaway. I love being outdoors, I love music, and I love having a fun time! A fun time for me is not drinking, doing drugs, or partying until 4 AM every weekend. I am a naturally fun person to be around so I dont feel the need to drug myself up to have fun. I love dance parties, wearing fancy dresses to no place special, hanging out with friends all the time, and just being silly. I also love reading, watching movies, talking politics, yelling at people for not caring for the environment, and so much more!

Tomorrow I will post about my plan for losing weight and getting into shape. For me it is less about vanity and more about being healthy. I want to be able to beat a boy up if needed to ;)   I will also start a Twitter account either tomorrow or early this week so you can be updated of new posts!

So join me, and lets get healthy together!

Love,
Cheetah
